Privacy
You can use HelpThisWay without an account, a name, an email address, a phone number or ID.
Your location
We ask for your position only when you press “Use my location”, and your browser asks you first. It is sent with that search to sort places by distance. It is not put in the address bar and is not saved. If you say no, enter a place or choose an area instead.
A place you type
When you enter an address, intersection or postal code, our server sends that text to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to find the place, and the search uses only an approximate point. HelpThisWay does not keep the text or the point. © OpenStreetMap contributors
Your needs and filters
Age, who a place is for, wheelchair, pets and languages stay on the page you are using and are sent only with your search. They are not put in links and are not saved. The kind of help and the area you choose can appear in the link, so a list can be bookmarked or shared.
The optional assistant
If you use the assistant, what you type is sent, with personal details removed, to a configured model for that request only. It is not saved.
Maps and outside links
The map loads only if you turn it on; the map provider then receives your internet address and the area shown. Calls, directions and websites open outside HelpThisWay under their own privacy rules.
Cookies
We keep only your display language, whether you chose the mobile or desktop site, and whether you turned on low data mode. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
Your browser may still keep the pages you visited in its history. On a shared device, use a private window.
Support hours and response times are shown where feedback is submitted; there is no live chat.
